暌违五年，才华横溢的山下敦弘导演再次发力，与鬼才编剧宫藤官九郎首度合作，携手冈田将生与清原果耶这对俊男靓女，将2020年大热的中国台湾影片《消失的情人节》改编成日本版。两人对原著设定进行大刀阔斧的改造，把舞台搬到京都，对调男女角色，讲述了一个永远比别人快半拍的男性与一个永远比别人慢半拍的女性之间脑洞大开又感人肺腑的时差爱情故事。影片在精准再现原作主题的同时，京都的美丽风光、山下的独特节奏、宫九的鬼马幽默令这部电影带上了与众不同的气质与魅力。
