◎简 介
经过连番对决，天才少年L（松山研一 饰）有几近百分之百的把握确定基拉身处日本，因此他决定离开洛杉矶，前往日本与这个难缠的对手展开对决。预感到多舛的命运，L不惜给自己留下了短短23日的生命。与此同时，泰国某个小村落哀鸿遍野，村民纷纷因一种神秘病毒致死，其毒性是伊波拉病毒的100倍。心怀鬼胎的某国残忍炸毁村庄，对作为实验品的村民实施灭口以掩盖罪行。最为恐怖的是，该病毒已经进化，任何解药都不起作用。在此期间，L最为敬重的渡（藤村俊二 饰）因死亡笔记身亡。拯救世界的重任，不知不觉落在了生命逐渐缩短的L的肩上……
本片根据大场つぐみ、小畑健的高人气漫画《死亡笔记》改编。
