◎简 介
卡索(约翰尼·德普 Johnny Depp 饰)着迷于收藏离奇古怪的珍稀书籍。这种才华令富翁巴尔坎（弗兰克·兰格拉 Frank Langella 饰）大为赏识。他派给卡索一个艰巨的任务——寻找一本叫《第九道门》的古书，并鉴定他手中那本的真假。这本书在世界上仅存3本，剩下的两本，分别流落到了葡萄牙和法国。 传说，只要通读此书，就可以召唤魔鬼的到来。卡索开始了曲折而又魔幻的寻找历程。他探访了书的原主人之妻、古籍修缮专家、遇上绿眼珠的神秘女人，期间他朋友的暴毙竟然跟书里的插图如出一辙，命案还在连连上演。原来，书中所带的咒语，恐怕会使得拥有者无一幸免。而如果三本书合在了一起，就会迎来邪恶的撒旦。而到底最终魔鬼的脸有没有出现？
