朵拉（伊莎贝拉·莫奈 Isabela Moner 饰）自幼和父母一起生活在丛林中，一天，父母决定去寻找传说中的黄金城，于是将朵拉托付给了住在城里的表格蒂亚戈（杰弗里·沃尔伯格 Jeffrey Wahlberg 饰）一家人照顾，就这样，野性十足的朵拉进城开始了她的高中生活。 从小自由自在惯了的朵拉当然无法适应学校里的生活，闹出了许多的笑话。然而，在一次学校组织的参观活动中，她和朋友们遭到了神秘罪犯的绑架，被绑回了丛林中，这对于朵拉来说简直就是如鱼得水。朵拉凭借着自己丰富的野外生存经验救下了同学们，不仅如此，她还要去解救同样遭到了绑架的双亲。
